Anti-Corruption Summit

1. Objectives of the Anti-Corruption Summit

  • To consult the stakeholders on the draft strategy document and provide a platform for inputs with the aim of finalizing the draft strategy document.
  • To strengthen the partnership and ensure implementation of the final strategy document going forward.
2.  Expected roles of leaders of sector delegations
  • Share the Draft Strategy with its members to identify gaps and areas of collaboration towards the finalization, implementation, monitoring and review of the strategy later on.
  • Prepare a presentation of its inputs for discussion at the summit during commissions.
  • Strive to keep the same representation (where possible) the same throughout the consultation process until its conclusion. 
3. Provincial Anti-Corruption forum

It is a platform that will be used to implement and monitor the implementation of the approved strategy. It will comprise members from all the four sectors namely; government, business, labour and civil society. It will meet at least twice per annum.

3.1 Roles & responsibilities
  • Ensure alignment between national and provincial anti-corruption initiatives within the province.
  • Coordinate all provincial anti corruption initiatives within the province to avoid unnecessary duplications.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the provincial anti-corruption strategy (including the plan) once it has been adopted.
  • Monitor the implementation of the provincial anti-corruption strategy
  • Coordinate and facilitate the review of the strategy, as and when necessary.
