MEC Shongwe meets culture and sport forums in the province
MEC for Culture, Sport and Recreation, Mr Vusi Shongwe will
conduct a series of Izimbizo in all the regions of
The Izimbizo are held to create dialogue between the department
and the organizations so that strategies to take matters of
sport and culture in the province to new heights could be
identified and agreed upon by all stakeholders.
MEC Shongwe will use the Izimbizo to inform the cultural and
sporting fraternity about programmes run by the department and
how they could take part in these programmes and also listen to
the challenges that organizations experience so that these could
addressed.
The department wants to create a
good working relationship with sport and culture forums as a way
of developing the province’s rich culture, artistic and sport
excellence.
