Head of Department: Mrs Mahlasedi Mhlabane

Mrs. Mahlasedi Mhlabane matriculated from Glen Cowie High School.

Enthusiastic on acquiring more knowledge, the Head: Education in the year 1988 enrolled and studied for a BCom Accounting Degree in the then University of North and graduated in the year 1992.

In the year 1993, she acquired her first job as senior accounts clerk at Alternative Finance and was later promoted as a Debtors management System Controller until June 1995.

In July 1995 she joined the National Sorghum Breweries as a Financial Accountant this post she held until 31 July 1996 and August, Mrs. Mhlabane joined Ehlanzeni District Council as an Accountant.
The Department of Public Works, Roads & Transport absorbed her as an Assistant Director:

Expenditure Control and in the year 2004 she occupied the office of the Chief Financial Officer.
In November 2006 to June 2008 Mrs. Mahlasedi Mhlabane was employed as the Acting Head of Department by the Department of Roads & Transport, and later employed as a Chief Financial Officer.

Mrs. Mhlabane joined the Mpumalanga Department of Education as the Head Education from 01 September 2009 to date.
