Department of Health and Social Services call in
Mpumalanga call on Youth in the province to in large
number apply for Masupa- Tsela Youth Pioneer
Programme

The National Department of Social Development has
initiated a youth development programme called
Masupa-Tsela aimed at training and skilling
unemployed and out of school youth in the country
between the ages of 18-35 years. The programme will
run for a year over a three year period.
Mpumalanga has been allocated to recruit 347
of the 1114 youth to be recruited nationally. We
therefore call upon the youth in the province those
with these minimum requirements; matric certificate
(even if it is badly passed); unemployed graduates,
South African Citizen with ID and residing in
Mpumalanga.
Applicants are requested to submit their CVs with at
least two traceable references, a one pager
motivation letter should accompany the application
and previous community work will be added advantage.
Preference will be given to youth from rural and
disadvantaged communities.
“This programme is part of the sustained effort by
our government, to push back the frontiers of
poverty by exposing our youth in particular to
programmes aimed at not only their self-development
but also their families and communities. It is a
clear and unequivocal demonstration of our
commitment of building a human and caring society
takes looks after its youth, who are undoubtedly the
treasure of any prosperous nation”, said MEC Fish
Mahlalela.

also call on community leaders, ward councilors,
religious leaders and CDWs to assist youth to apply.
