Mpumalanga Department of Health welcomes Internship and Community Service health professionals

Mpumalanga Department of Health will officially welcome more than
400 internship and community service health professionals in a
function to be held as follows:

These professionals will be deployed across the province,
focusing specifically on areas of more need.
“Their presence will undoubtedly assist and we are determined
to do everything possible to retain them after serving their
compulsory internship and community service. We are working more
specifically on improving our entry salary level, which has be the biggest
detriment in retaining many of these professionals including those that may
have preferred to work in our province”, Said MEC Fish Mahlalela.
In total the province has received 455 health professionals broken as follows:

These professionals arrive at the time when the province is experiencing
increasing number of people affected by outbreak of cholera, and their presence
although they are still learning, will help beef up our human resource.
