EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (EXCO) OUTREACH GOES TO STEVE TSHWETE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The Mpumalanga Executive Council will undertake a three-day outreach to Steve Tshwete Local municipality in the Nkangala District Municipality as part of the Public Participation Programme from 16 to 18 September 2014.
The aim of the EXCO outreach is to create a platform where members of the Executive Council interact with all the key stakeholders in the various communities of the municipality.
The first day (16 September 2014 Tuesday) members of Executive Council will attend separate meetings of the Business Forum, Station Commanders and CPF, Traditional Leadership, Hospital, Clinic boards and NGO’s, Religious Arts and Culture, Small farmers, Principal and School Governing Body and Contractors (see attached schedule).
The second day (17 September 2014 Wednesday) will be dedicated to Executive Council sitting that will commence at 09:00-16:00, exhibitions by all departments & Agencies will start at Mafube Village (08:00-16:00) and the meeting between EXCO and the Steve Tshwete Council will start at Council Chamber (17:00- 18:00).
On the third day, 18 September 2014 from 07h00 to 12h00, all Members of the Executive will conduct separate visits to various projects in their allocated areas before converging at a Community meeting in the afternoon.
At 13:00 a community meeting will be held at Doornkop-Ga Mapimpana open space were the Premier, MEC’s, Executive Mayors and councilors are expected to attend.
