Mpumalanga Finance MEC to grace the
Graduation Ceremony on Supply Chain Management and Asset Management

The Mpumalanga Department of Finance in partnership with the University of Pretoria invites all media houses to a graduation ceremony to be held on 28 October 2010 at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) in Nelspruit starting at 10h00.
As part of fast-tracking capacity building, knowledge and
skills development the Mpumalanga Department of Finance in partnership with the
University of Pretoria has in the past two years embarked on a Certificate
Programme on Supply Chain and Asset Management targeting supply chain
practitioners in departments, municipalities and public entities.
Since then 50 practitioners underwent training of which 28 of them have successfully completed the training programme hence a graduation ceremony has been arranged. Those that did not complete on time are still writing supplementary examinations to qualify.
It is envisaged that this intervention will result with capacitated, knowledgeable and skilled cadre of employees on supply chain and asset management resulting in improved procurement planning practices, enhanced supply chain practices supporting service delivery and infrastructure development, promotion of good ethics and generally a capacitated public service.
