PREMIER MABUZA TOGETHER WITH MEC DIKELEDI MAHLANGU TO CONDUCT SOD TURNING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF P17/6

Motorists using the P17/6 (R538) from Jerusalem to the R40 at Casterbridge in White River will soon travel with ease, as the road will be under major construction. the Honourable Premier of Mpumalanga Province, David Mabuza together with MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport, Dikeledi Mahlangu will be giving the contractors a go ahead to start building the road during a sod turning ceremony to be held on Tuesday the 11th of March 2014 at Masoyi stadium where members of the community with various stakeholders are expected to witness the occasion. The event will start at 10h00 in the morning. 

The rehabilitation of the road will cost the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport more than R149 million with at least four hundred (400) people expected to be employed.. The 16 km road will take at least 21 month to complete, with the construction expected to end on the 13 September 2015.
