PREMIER MABUZA TO APPLY FOR SMART ID CARD

Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza will tomorrow [Tuesday, 21 January 2014] visit the Nelspruit Home Affairs Office to apply for a Smart ID Card.

The roll-out of Smart ID Cards to the general public was announced by the Home Affairs Department last year and citizens are invited to apply according to their dates of birth.

As first citizen of Mpumalanga, Premier Mabuza will be afforded an opportunity to apply for his Smart ID Card tomorrow, which will replace the green-bar coded identity document. The new Smart ID Card boasts with advanced security features.
