PREMIER MABUZA TO COLLECT HIS SMART ID CARD FROM HOME AFFAIRS

29 January 2014

Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza will tomorrow visit the Nelspruit Home Affairs Office to collect his Smart ID Card which he has explained as freedom

As the first citizen of Mpumalanga, Premier Mabuza was afforded an opportunity last week by the Home Affairs Department to apply for his Smart ID Card in order to allow members of the provincial legislature and senior citizens to follow.

Mabuza expressed satisfaction at the time it took to undergo the process of applying until one gets his or her card. He said the time was fair although it would mainly depend on the efficiency of the computers.

He said the experience was also great, and subsequently encouraged the people of Mpumalanga to go in numbers to Home Affairs to “rubberstamp” the country’s new founded democracy by getting their Smart ID Cards.
