Mpumalanga Provincial Government hosts labour summit

The Mpumalanga Provincial Government has convened a Labour summit aimed at establishing, among others, labour peace, sound labour relations, discipline and productive workforce. The summit will be attended by representatives of government and organized labour in Mpumalanga.

The two-day summit will take place under theme: ‘Respecting collective bargaining, labour peace and enhancing state capacity in the Mpumalanga Provincial Administration’. Through the summit the Provincial Government is poised to achieve the following objectives, namely:

  • Clarify the roles, obligations, and responsibilities of management and organized labour;
  • Set in motion various platforms to consistently work on building an enabling environment for service delivery through a peaceful work place;
  • Determine means to attain ethical conduct, integrity and discipline.
