Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane and MEC Msibi to attend inauguration of Hosi Nxumalo of Amashangana Traditional Council in Bushbuckridge

Mpumalanga Pemier, Ms Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane and MEC for Co-Operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Mr Mandla Msibi will attend the inauguration of Hosi Abednigo Nxumalo of the Amashangana Traditional Council on Saturday. Nxumalo is the heir to the throne of the Chieftaincy, succeeding his late father, Hosi Mpisana Eric Nxumalo.

During the inauguration, Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane will hand over a certificate of recognition to Hosi Nxumalo. The Mpumalanga Provincial Government recognises the vital role of the institution of traditional leadership in preserving indigenous knowledge and cultural heritage, and view the inauguration of Hosi Nxumalo as key to affirm this position.

Mtshweni-Tsipane will deliver a key note address, aimed at strengthening the working relations between the Provincial Government and traditional leaders. Members of the Executive of the Mpumalanga Provincial House of Traditional and Khoisan Leaders as well as the communities, will attend the inauguration.
