23 April 2024

Mpumalanga Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane accompanied by the MEC for Health, Ms. Sasekani Manzini will officially launch new fleet for Emergency Medical Services (EMS), forensic pathology and mobile clinic services.

It is part of the Department of Health’s mandate to provide access to quality healthcare services for all the citizens in Mpumalanga Province. One of the means employed to ensure access to healthcare is through Emergency Medical Services and mobile clinic services. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a mobile provision of health facilities that will respond swiftly and adequately to various emergencies.

On the other hand, mobile clinics are forming key part of primary health care services and used to take healthcare services to far-flung areas and farming communities. The Forensic pathology vehicles perfom the crucial service for the department as they are responsible for the dignified removal of human remains in residential homes and road accident scenes.
