Changes to the Mpumalanga Cabinet

As part of an on-going effort to further enhance government work and to accelerate service delivery in the spirit of "all hands on the deck" for the remaining period to the elections next year. The following changes were deemed necessary to the Executive Council of the province.

The re-deployments are as follows:

* Former MEC for Culture, Sport and Recreation Mr Jabu Mahlangu has now been assigned the Finance Department.
* Former Finance MEC Ms Mmathulare Coleman has now been assigned the Education Department.
* Former Roads and Transport MEC Mr David Mabuza has been assigned the Agriculture and Land Administration Department.
* Former Safety and Security MEC Mr Fish Mahlalela has been assigned the Health and Social Services Department.
* Former Education MEC Mr Siphosezwe Masango has been assigned the Safety and Security Department.
* Former Agriculture and Land Administration MEC Ms Dina Pule has been assigned the Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation.

Mr Jackson Mthembu will join the executive as MEC for Roads and Transport

The following members will remain in their respective portfolios:

* Local Government and Housing: Ms Candith Mashego-Dlamini
* Economic Development and Planning: Mr Craig Padayachee
* Public Works: Mr Madala Masuku
