Premier Mabuza congratulates Karabo for winning Idol SA 2015 singing competition

Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza has congratulated Karabo Mogane for winning the Idol SA Season 2015 [Season 11] saying he made Mpumalanga province proud.

Premier Mabuza called Karabo “a very humble and yet talented young man” who has joined the list of many successful artists who come from Mpumalanga.

“We pride ourselves as a province with Karabo Mogane from Mbombela, he has made us proud for raising the Mpumalanga flag high. As a provincial government, we will continue to support the performing artists from our province,” said Mabuza.

The Premier also gave credit to Mmatema Moremi from the neighbouring Limpopo that she was equally good with her singing talent.

“As a people of Mpumalanga, Karabo’s win gives us something to celebrate and to cherish. We thank the people of Mpumalanga and South Africa at large for being patriotic and supporting our local boy.

“We hope this good habit will continue even in other competitions in future where our participation as a people of Mpumalanga would holistically will be expected,” said Mabuza.

The Premier commended the provincial Department of Culture Sports and Recreation for vigorously promoting cultural activities in the province, saying both arts and culture were necessary for social cohesion.
