Public Finance Management Act
(PFMA As Amended by Act 29 of 1999)
To regulate financial management in
the national government and provincial
governments; to ensure that all revenue,
expenditure, assets and liabilities of
those governments are managed
efficiently and effectively; to provide
for the responsibility of persons
entrusted with financial management in
those governments; to provide for
matters connected therewith.
The Accounting Officer as agreed,
reports to the MEC on a regular basis on
matters of relevance. On a formal basis,
monthly and quarterly reports are
submitted to the executive authority.
