MEC MANANA CONVENES MUNIMEC MEETING

Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC, Ms. Sibongile Manana will convene a MUNIMEC Meeting on Thursday, 19 November 2009 from 08h00 at Riverside Government Complex, Building No. 8 in Nelspruit.

MUNIMEC consists of the MEC, municipalities, the South African Police Service (SAPS), departments of Justice and Constitutional Development, Correctional Services, Independent Complaints Directorate (ICD) and the provincial CPF board.

MUNIMEC meetings sit on a quarterly basis to discuss safety and security matters and how it could be enhanced by various stakeholders who participates in the forum.

Members of the media are invited to a Media Conference that will start at 13h00 immediately after the meeting adjourned.
