MEC Shongwe to address Men’s Summit in
Mbombela

As part
commemorating 16 Days of Activism For
Violence Against Women and Children,
Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security
and Liaison MEC, Vusi Shongwe will
deliver a key note address during a
Men’s Summit that will be held in
Nelspruit on Tuesday.
The purpose of the summit is among
others to encourage men to assist in
finding solutions to women and child
abuse. It is being organized by the
department in collaboration with
stakeholders such as Mbombela
Municipality, Commission for Gender
Equality and Sonke Gender Justice/
Brothers for life and civic
organizations.
Various speakers will be expected to
deliberate on various topics such as,
the importance of Gender Equality in all
societal structures, Gender
Transformation in the workplace,
Influence and Impact of Culture,
Religion and Tradition on Men.
The summit, will be attended mainly by
men from various government departments,
will be held as follows:
