ELECTION OF MPUMALANGA HOUSE OF TRADITIONAL LEADERS

MEC for Local Government and Housing, Mrs Candith Mashego -Dlamini will tomorrow, 11 May 2007 convene the Provincial Electoral College, which will elect the new members of Mpumalanga House of Traditional Leaders.

The new members will serve a fourth term of a five-year cycle since the first democratic Elections in South Africa. As usual, the Chairperson of Mpumalanga House of Traditional Leaders, Inkosi MD Mthethwa will first dissolve the House and allow the election to take place.

Deputy Judge JB Shongwe will supervise the elections and ensure that the newly elected members take an oath or affirmation.
