16 Days of Activism

South Africa joins the global community to commemorate the 16 Days of Activism for no violence against women and children from the 25 November to 10 December. The 16 Days campaign focuses on raising awareness to the devastating impact that gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) has on women and children, and the social fabric of our society. This year’s campaign will be commemorated under the theme : “Accelerating actions to end gender-based violence & femicide: leaving no one behind”

Department of Education invests in spring classes

The Mpumalanga Department of Education is committed to improving learner performance for the class of 2023. In line with this commitment, the Department will convene a week long Spring Classes from 02 to 06 October 2023. The classes will take place for 167 schools that performed below 70% in the 2022 National Senior Examination (NSC). The Spring Classes will focus on 11 high enrolment subjects, including English, Mathematics, Physical Science, and Life Science. 23,000 grade 12 learners are expected to attend these classes in 116 Centres throughout the Place of the Rising Sun. The State of Readiness on the Management of the Grade 12 National Senior Certificate Examination

The Mpumalanga Department of Education has pulled all stops to ensure that the 2023 grade 12 National Senior Certificate Examinations progress without any glitches. These examinations will commence in full swing on Monday, 30 October 2023, with the writing of First papers for English Home and First Additional Language at 09H00. This translate to only 18 remaining days before the start of these examinations for the Class of 2023.
