them to register their business, drive their
awareness campaign and monitor for
compliance with the Act. The department
coordinates all the work of cooperative in

A. The department is finalizing the Tourism
Safety Strategy for the province.

Impact Assessment (EIA) is a systematic
process which is used to identify potential
positive and negative impacts on the
environment.

application to be authorized A.
IIt depends on the activity applied for;
there are two processes (Basic Assessment
process and Scoping/EIA process) with
different time frames which are outlined in
the EIA Regulations
