Profile of Vusanani Dlamini

Dr. Vusanani Dlamini is the Head of Department for the Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism. Before joining the Department he was an Executive Manager and Provincial Head for Statistics South Africa in Mpumalanga. He previously worked for Department of Finance in Gauteng as the Director for Public Finance and National Department of Agriculture in Pretoria as Principal Economist. Dr. Dlamini holds a Master of Science Degree in Applied Economics and a PhD in Natural Resource Economics from the United States of America.

Dr Dlamini has acquired substantial knowledge and experience in Economic Research, Project Management, Public Policy Analysis, Stakeholder Management, Planning and Budgeting, and People’s Management during the 22 years of his career. He has in depth understanding of Government Planning and Policy formulation processes. He has written a number of academic research and policy papers.
