Executive Council Outreach goes to Nkomazi Municipality

The Mpumalanga Executive Council will undertake a three-day visit to Nkomazi Local Municipality from 29 to 31 May 2012.

The main aim is to interact with all the key stakeholders in the different communities in the area and allow a platform for members of community to share solutions to the problems with elected leaders. In addition, members of the Executive Council will provide feedback on issues raised in the previous engagement with the communities of Nkomazi.

The first day will commence with Members of the Executive Council attending separate meetings of the business forum, hospital and clinic boards, station commanders and CPFs, Religious, Arts and Culture, Small farmers, Traditional Leadership, Principal and SGB and Contractors/Consultancy. The MEC will be deployed to the stakeholders’ meetings that are related to their Departments. All these meetings will start at 17h00.

The second day (Wednesday) will see Premier and MECs attend the Executive Council sitting as early as 09h00. The EXCO will later in the afternoon (17h00 to 18h00) meet the Nkomazi Council at Komatipoort Municipal Office.

The last day will be dedicated to the public participation where the Members of the Executive Council start visiting several schools, police station and health institutions from 07h30.

Premier David Mabuza accompanied by the Executive Mayor, the Speaker and the ward Council will visit Mgubho Combined School with a view to encourage a culture of teaching and learning in the school.
