Postponement of media briefing by the Department of
Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs

Due to the imminent visit by the Minister of Co-operative
Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mr Richard Baloyi to the province the media
briefing by the Provincial Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional
Affairs that was scheduled for 20 February 2012 at Protea Hotel, Nelspruit at
09H00 has been postponed indefinitely.
The media is now invited to join Minister Baloyi, Premier DD Mabuza and MEC Madala Masuku as they visit the areas that were declared disaster areas after the floods that hit Ehlanzeni District. The purpose of the visit is to assess progress being made in rehabilitating the affected areas as well as government relief to the recent storms that hit Nkomazi. The Minister will also use the visit to identify areas in which National Government can step in to assist.
The visit is scheduled as follows:
