Premier Mabuza part ways with Director-General Jacob Rabodila

The Mpumalanga Premier, David Mabuza has released the Director-General of the Mpumalanga Provincial Administration, Mr Jacob Rabodila, from his duties with effect from Monday 06 August 2012.
The decision follows lengthy discussions and consultation between the two which ended with an amicable agreement.
All guidelines and frameworks as prescribed by the Ministry of Public Service and Administration have been considered by the Premier to release the Director-General.
We therefore urge and call upon all citizens to respect and uphold the decision as it emanates from a relationship of employer and employee.
The Honourable Premier wishes to thank Mr Rabodila for his profound contribution, leadership and guidance displayed in administering the provincial government in the past three years.
Although much could have still been gained from his leadership and administrative stewardship, the Premier wishes him well in his future endeavours and trusts that he will continue to serve the people of South Africa in other capacities.
We further wish to confirm that the provincial government’s mandate in as far as service delivery will not be interrupted while we wait for the vacant post to be filled in.
In the meantime the Honourable Premier, has appointed current Deputy Director-General for Macro Policy and Planning, Mr Thulani Mdakane as Acting Director-General.
