Mandela Day Celebration

Premier David Mabuza and Deputy Minister Godfrey Oliphant will
contribute 67 minutes to Mandela Day campaign at Siyathemba Township in
Dipaleseng Local Municpality on Monday, 18 July 2011. The Premier and the Deputy
Minister are expected to lead a team of volunteers comprising of MECs, Mayors,
councillors, mining representatives, SOE and officials of Department of
Mineral Resources to renovate Bophelong Stimulation Centre.
The volunteers will plaster , paint, fix doors and toilets, provide security burglar proof and many other activities in the centre. The municipality together with Great Basin Gold mines (Burnstone mine) have already made commitments to build a completely new centre for the 25 children with disabilities.
