Premier Mabuza to hand over four houses to the needy
in Mayflower [Mpuluzi]
20 August 2013
Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza will this week hand
over four upmarket and luxurious houses to four needy families in Mayflower
[Mpuluzi] near Piet Retief.
Premier Mabuza identified the destitute families to
benefit from his Kancane Kancane Legacy Project when he visited the area in
March this year. He visited the area when the local community had set the
Mayflower Chief Albert Luthuli municipal offices and some huge earth moving
machines alight.
During his interaction with the community back then,
the community complained about amongst others the lack of the RDP houses
which the Premier promised would be built in the current financial year.
At the same time, he committed to build four houses
which are part of his Legacy project. The Premier’s legacy projects are
financially supported by private sponsor, Mageba Projects, who has built
spacious, luxurious and upmarket houses which will be donated by Premier
Mabuza to the identified beneficiaries.
The houses are usually fully furnished and
beneficiaries are also given food parcels. During the hand-over ceremonies,
Premier Mabuza will also be donating school uniforms to orphans and
vulnerable children at a local school.
The media is invited and should converge as follows;
- Date: Friday, 23
August 2013
