Premier Mabuza to witness Mpumalanga-developed
technology benefit the country’s economy

Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza will this week witness
and appreciate an innovation by a Secunda-based company, Hydra-Arc, which
will not only benefit the province’s economy but the whole country.
Hydra-Arc is one of the smaller welding companies in
Mpumalanga which had been contracted by the country’s integrated mining,
gas, oil and chemicals company, Sasol, to fabricate and deliver six high
pressure vessels.
This week Premier Mabuza will participate at the
releasing of one of the vessels to Sasol, which is confirmed to have saved
billions of Rands and which could have been spent offshore.
The Premier is expected not only to applaud the local
innovation but appreciate the partnership between the two companies that it
was yielding intended results by the provincial government as the vessels
are manufactured by the people from Mpumalanga.
The company currently has 800 people in its employ
including deaf artisans and intends to employ the further 450 workers.
