Mini-buses up for grabs
16 May 2012
Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison
together with Brandhouse encourages taxi commuters to vote for their best taxi
driver for the Number One Taxi Driver Competition to win a brand new Quantum
mini bus.
Six drivers who have been selected in the province will compete with
other drivers from other provinces for the National Number One Taxi Driver
title.
Four best drivers will each walk away with Quantum mini buses and R50 000 worth of fuel and the fifth quantum will be won by a driver who will be voted by commuters.
A commuter with more votes will also stand a chance to win R4500.
The campaign is aimed at changing the attitudes of taxi drivers, reduce
accidents and encourage responsible driving.
In the campaign, drivers compete with one another by demonstrating
their driving skills and go through a theory test to check if they know the
rules of the roads and if they do adhere to driving rules.
