MEC Shongwe launches 16 Days of Activism

Mpumalanga Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe will officially launch the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Abuse as follows:

16 Days of Activism is an International Campaign for the elimination of gender based violence. The campaign runs from 25 November – 10 December every year.
The campaign aims to generate increased levels of awareness amongst South
Africans pertaining to the incidences of violence perpetuated against women and
children. The campaign also aims to create awareness of the link between the
HIV/Aids and gender.
