EXCO Media Statement

The Executive Council held a special sitting on Wednesday, the 10th of March 2021, at Mbombela.Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane opened the meeting by welcoming the new Members of the Executive Council to their inaugural Cabinet meeting.
The Executive Council (EXCO) meeting was convened to deliberate on, amongst others, the 2021 budget adjustment.
EXCO adopted the 2021 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and emphasised the need for the Provincial Government to optimise the utilisation of resources to fast track the rate of service delivery.
The Provincial budget will be tabled by the MEC of Finance and will outline Provincial priorities as well as initiatives to stimulate the Provincial economy and help the Province’s efforts to recover from the effects of the pandemic.
