URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: INITIATION SCHOOLS!

The initiation schools have been suspended until further notice in Mpumalanga.

This is in line with the President's directive that prohibits gatherings as one of the measures to mitigate coronavirus infections in the country.

MEC Mandla Msibi has urged the institution of Traditional leadership to ensure that no initiation school takes place in their area of jurisdiction.

He says the initiation schools have a potential to spread the virus especially amongst young initiates and therefore the decision to suspend them will contribute significantly towards the prevention of more infections in Mpumalanga.
