MPUMALANGA PREMIER TO VISIT THE FAMILIES OF THE TWO MEN KILLED IN MKHONDO LAST WEEK

Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane will tomorrow (Monday 12th April 2021) visit the families of the two men who were reportedly shot and killed at a farm in Dirkieskop in Mkhondo on Friday, 09 April 2021.

It is said the two deceased men were among other men who went to the farm seeking employment as seasonal workers. The farm owner allegedly told the men that they were not welcomed at his premises.

It is futher reported that the men left the farm but one of them was allegedly held captive by the farmers who are now suspects in the murder cases.

It is also reported that the men demanded that the farmers release their friend, a scuffle broke and two men were shot and died at the scene.

The Premier together with the MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liason Vusi Shongwe will go pay their respects to the berieved families.

“It is extremely unacceptable that such incidents are occurring in our communities, the law must take its course and justice must be served we can not tolerate any acts of criminality and or racism in the province,” said the Premier
