THE PREMIER OF MPUMALANGA PROVINCE, MS REFILWE MTSHWENI-TSIPANE TOGETHER WITH THE MEC FOR HEALTH IN THE PROVINCE ,MS SASEKANI MANZINI TO OFFICIALLY LAUNCH ONCOLOGY SERVICES IN WITBANK HOSPITAL.

The extension of Oncology services is an effort by government to priorities the provision of safety Cancer Care services and improve access to this services for over 500 Cancer patients who used to travel long distance to Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Gauteng which is far away.

The Department identified a need for an oncology treatment centre offering Chemotherapy services which led to the first historical Oncology services launched in Rob Ferreira Hospital on the 27th August 2019 to improve quality care for the people of Mpumalanga.

The Department has done it again, expanding Oncology services to the Nkangala District Community, hence the Premier of the Province, Ms Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane and MEC for Health, Ms Sasekani Manzini will be launching the Oncology services in Witbank, ending long distance travelling for the more than 500 cancer patients.
