MKHATSHWA TO HOST VIRTUAL ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS ON THE MPUMALANGA ECONOMIC RECONSTRUCTION AND RECOVERY PLAN WITH ALL STAKEHOLDERS

Mbombela – MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr. Vusi Mkhatshwa, will from next week, host virtual roundtable discussions on the proposed Mpumalanga Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan (MERRP), with all stakeholders (including all municipalities, social partners and the private sector) across the Province.

The MERRP is an economic mitigation plan to counter the negative impact of the COVID-19 induced-lockdown. It proposes quite a number of interventions, including the roll-out of massive economic infrastructure to revive the economy and create jobs.

The roundtable discussion engagements have been arranged, per District Municipality, as follows:
