Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane to officiate at the occassion of the launch of the Provincial e-Learning Programme

The Mpumalanga Premier, Ms Refilwe Mtshweni- Tsipane together with the MEC for Education, Mr Bonakele Majuba, will tomorrow on 05 April 2022, launch the Provincial e-Learning Programme at Ubuhlebuzile Secondary School in Mkhondo Local Municipality, Gert Sibande District.
The launch will coincide with the re-opening of schools and the deployment and delivery of 6700 Teacher Laptops and 55 000 Learner tablets, pre-loaded with software and e-Content and data ready for offline use.
These devices are for Grade 12 learners in quintiles 1,2 and 3 schools throughout the Province. Each grade 12 learner will also receive free data monthly to enable easy access to the education e- content.
The launch intends to revolutionize the delivery of education in the Province. It is inspired by national and international standards, which the Province has set during this digital era. It is envisaged that this intervention will improve the teaching and learning process to the level of contemporary 21st century standard.
This is indeed a major milestone for Mpumalanga Province and a step towards reaching higher heights in enriching the potential of each learner.
