MPUMALANGA’S 2022 PROVINCIAL HERITAGE DAY TAKES PLACE IN THE NKOMAZI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The Mpumalanga Provincial Government will be celebrate the 2022 Heritage Day on the 24th of September 2022 at Mgobodzi Community Hall, in the Nkomazi Local Municipality. The Heritage Day is marked as a social cohesion event in which South Africans, celebrate unity in their diversity.

Mpumalanga is one of the provinces rich in cultural diversity. A display of cultural dances and indigenous music, will form part of the celebration, with “Celebrating the Legacy of Solomon Linda and South Africa’s indigenous music”, as the theme for this year.

The Premier, Ms Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane, accompanied by the Nkomazi Executive Mayor, Cllr. Phindile Magagula, will deliver the keynote address at the event. Dozens of community members are also expected to join the celebration.

National and Provincial Government Departments will be available to provide services, such as vaccination, health screening, ID and social grant applications to the public. They include, but not limited to, Home Affairs, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) and the Department of Health.
