PREMIER MTSHWENI-TSIPANE EXTENDS WELL WISHES TO TS GALAXY AHEAD OF CARLING CUP FINAL

Mpumalanga-based soccer team, TS Galaxy, is taking on Stellenbosch FC in a nail-biting Carling Knockout Cup final. The much anticipated game will take place at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on Saturday. TS Galaxy also used the same venue to claim victory of the Nedbank Cup in 2019.

Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane has extended well wishes to the TS Galaxy team. She is optimistic that the outcome of the final will be in TS Galaxy’s favour. “By eliminating Kaizer Chiefs in the semi-final, TS Galaxy signaled their quest to win the Carling cup final. We, as the citizens of Mpumalanga are optimistic that TS Galaxy will turn the Moses Mabhida stadium into a slaughter house against their opponents, to claim yet another cup,” Mtshweni- Tsipane stated.

Mtshweni-Tsipane’s perspective is that Mpumalanga’s name as a Province soaked in sport, is well documented. She cites TS Galaxy’s Nedbank Cup triumph in 2019, the Puma’s (Mpumalanga-based Rugby team) cup glory last year and the participation of four players in Amabhokobhoko’s 2023 World cup victory, among others, to affirm her perspective.

The Premier says TS Galaxy will make Mpumalanga proud again, as they did in the Nedbank Cup final. “We are optimistic that the team, led by Mr Tim Sukazi (the owner), the players under the leadership of Captain Mlungisi Mbunjana, and the technical team, led by Coach, Mr Sead Ramovic, will hoist the cup high at the Moses Mabhida stadium, and bring it home to Mpumalanga,” she elaborated.

Mtshweni-Tsipane urged all citizens to support the team.
